Original Famous Twang Sundays is a free, all-ages concert series at Thee Parkside in Potrero Hill.
Come by every Sunday; there’s always a fresh traditional or contemporary live act and a surprise special to purchase from the kitchen.
This Sunday, March 13th Original Famous Twang Sundays welcomes Flash, Crash & Thunder, and Hardly Worth The Trouble to Thee Parkside.
Flash, Crash & Thunder is a new band steeped in the California country tradition, as well as other great roots music like rockabilly and blues.
Hardly Worth The Trouble is a group of long time musicians. Lead by Jack Willis and Ben Taylor on guitars and vocals, Philip Hansen on drums, David Nordgren on the thud staff and Patrick Newberry on steel. HWTT got built to gig and keep rocking. From local bars, private parties, on the ranch to uptown; HWTT throws down with songs from some of the greatest songwriters and performers in American music and even a few originals. HWTT plays shuffles, 4/4’s, waltzes and ballads for people to dance, sing along and enjoy. Whether your’re reminiscing of times gone by, crying in your beer or falling in love with the girl across the bar- Hardly Worth the Trouble is making magic happen. Bring your pals and your gals, talk loud, love hard, drink a lot, and two step and swing a little. Enjoy yourself, you deserve it. Get your twang on.
