Sunday, September 14, 2014, Original Famous Twang Sundays welcomes The Motor Boaters and The Silver Threads to Thee Parkside.

The Motor Boaters are a classic example of four friends and pro players that needed an excuse to form a band. They share a love of alt country and Americana rock dressed with harmonizing vocals, fat rhythms, and luscious guitar tone. If the Drive-By-Truckers, Buck Owens, & Tom Petty raised a country rock band, it might sound a hell of a lot like The Motor Boaters.

The Silver Threads hail out of San Francisco’s Bay Area. Inspired by greats such as Lowell George, The Rolling Stones, Warren Zevon and Bob Dylan, their music tells stories about life, living and everything in between.
