Original Famous Twang Sundays is a free, all-ages concert series at Thee Parkside in Potrero Hill.

Come by every Sunday; there’s always a fresh traditional or contemporary live act and a surprise special to purchase from the kitchen.

On Sunday, November 30th, Original Famous Twang Sundays welcomes Chuck Suckit and Ruben into Thee Parkside for a dual record release show.

Chuck Suckit is a one man folk band comprised of Micah Pususta, who manufacturers all of his own guitars and accessories. When describing his music, Pususta states “I play scrappy music that’ll make you lose it from, crap that I made.” Clearly, Micah holds nothing back and his music reflects that. Drawing from artists like, Frank Hutchison, Sylvester Weaver, Howlin’ Wolf, Charley Patton, Hasil Adkins, Pususta scrapes together a raunchy collection of hillbilly slide guitar blues songs.

Ruben Diaz is a self taught multi-instrumentalist & songwriter. Residing in Oakland, CA. Ruben’s style spans most things from discordant effigies to romantic reflection, embracing the raw possibility of the ever adapting folk tradition alive in America and the world. His debut full length “Way Out in Heaven” sounds like a haunting, howling folk singer is sitting in a dark cabin deep within the woods, casting demons and spirits woods away with his songs and cryptic melodies.
