Event Details

Come celebrate 8 years of Obama with a New Orleans-inspired parade led by a brass band and a second line. Bring your decked out umbrellas and handkerchiefs to wave around as they play and dance down the street, then have a potluck picnic at Strawberry Park.

Feel free to dress up in your most fun clothing. The parade will start at 3 pm at Fellini’s Espresso bar on University Avenue.

Bring your own food and drink. Fellini’s is generously offering to hold onto food in the walk-in cooler for people who need to keep stuff cold. Please do not park at Fellini’s. Street parking is plentiful.

It is a time and place for gratitude and celebration of President Obama. (There may be plenty to protest, but this isn’t it.) So come bring your fun and get yer dance on. Parade is weather dependent, so if it rains, it will be cancelled.
