With over 3,000 seats and a meticulously-restored interior, the Paramount offers a true “Movie Palace” experience straight out of the 1930s – with period newsreels, cartoons, previews, live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer organ and the audience participation spinning wheel game of “Dec-O-Win.”
February 19th Screening: “The Lady From Shanghai” (1947) – Orson Welles’ film noir classic starring Wells himself and Rita Hayworth. The finale, a shoot-out in a hall of mirrors, is legendary in the annals of avant-garde film.
Doors open 60 minutes before the show – giving you ample time to purchase a cocktail, beverage, or movie snack, admire the Art Deco décor, and enjoy the music from the Mighty Wurlitzer organ.
When the curtain rises at 8:00 p.m., you’ll be treated to a newsreel, cartoon, previews, and the Paramount’s prize give-away game “Dec-O-Win”. The feature film begins at 8:30 p.m.
