Trying to confine Oakland-born quartet Persephone’s Bees to a specific genre is a lost cause. This Russian lead singer-led band has mastered satisfyingly kitchy avant-garde glam-pop. This is their record release show for “New in Berlin.”

Opening: Crooner Bart Davenport (and former Persephone’s Bee’s bass player) opens with a set of groovy radio friendly post-modern pop.
