During Chinatown’s Sunday Streets, be sure to stop by an outdoor city-wide ping pong tournament being held in Portsmouth Square on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 8:15am to 12:30pm

>> Come watch some of the city’s best players until 12:30pm. After the tournament, the ping pong tables will open to the public to play until 2pm.

Prizes will be awarded for beginner and advanced teams. 1st place is $300, 2nd place is $200 and 3rd place is $100. For those who want to participate in a workshop that takes place after the tournament, sign up with Lee Kuang a leekuang@yahoo.com.

This is a free event, but participation is limited to San Francisco residents, members of the Chinatown family or community organizations, and teams supported by approved sponsors

All participants must provide their own paddles

The teams of 5 must be formed before the tournament
