Bring a portable headset radio, some games, food, snacks, and drinks, come dance and play with friends. Dancing starts at 2 pm. After Pirate Radio, everyone will go to dinner, and then meet up at Shades of Blues.
They won’t have any speakers, generators, or other huge sound equipment, which means no noise violations and no cops called. How are you going to hear the music? Bring a radio and some headphones… and some batteries. They’ll have an FM transmitter hooked up to a 3.5mm audio jack, and a giant pirate flag.
Daytime dancing location: Lakeside Park (look for the gazebo), Lake Merritt, Oakland. The pirate flag will mark their location.
There will be a donation box to help with expenses for equipment (FM transmitter = $45, Battery + inverter = $85…)
