For one night, drop your relations, your work, your leisure, and all your usual motives for movement and action, and let yourself be drawn by the chase.
Journey to the End of the Night is a free street game / scavenger hunt of epic proportions with nearly 2,000 people participating, all by foot or by Muni. Make it through the checkpoints as fast as you can, while avoiding being caught by chasers. Those who fall will become chasers themselves, rising in un-death to pursue the remaining runners.
In 2015, the Journey will take place on Halloween itself, leading you down a thrilling and bizarre experience of heart-pounding adventure.

The game itself is simple: You are given a map with six marked checkpoints, a blue ribbon, and a red ribbon. By tying the blue ribbon on your arm, you indicate that you are a player. You must now make your way through the city to each checkpoint only by foot and/or public transit. You must also do so while avoiding the red-ribboned chasers who are prowling the streets. If you are tagged by a chaser, you must replace your blue ribbon with your red and become a chaser yourself, increasing the danger as the night grows darker.
Whether or not you manage to survive, playing Journey will be an incredible experience. You will interact with people on the street, and be drawn into the excitement and fun of running through the city, heart pounding with a sense of danger lurking around each corner, finding moments of unexpected magic and adventure.
The fastest players will probably finish in two hours. Timing depends on your speed, your individual Journey experience, checkpoints, and how much public transit you use. The end location will be open past midnight.
