How does social media influence how we see the world?

How does bias impact our understanding of current events?

Join us in this free community pop up event as we discuss ways to make meaning of current events in a digital age. We will look at images and readings from Facing History’s resource, Facing Ferguson: News Literacy in a Digital Age, to examine how social media and bias shape our views of each other and current events.

This event is part of a Facing History’s pop up conversation series. Facing History and Ourselves reaches millions of students worldwide every year. Using the lessons of history—and history in the making—Facing History equips teachers to help students confront prejudice, racism, and antisemitism, empowering them to become adults who change the world for the better.

Wine and small bites will be served.
