Event Details

“Pork Chops” is a celebration of the East Bay tattoo flash tradition. Dedicated to the street shop design on the wall where you had no choice and you were scared of your tattooer. Pork chops were the most popular tattoo designs cut out and assembled on one flash sheet. It was those designs that were sold the most going from ground round to pork chop.

The pork chop was loved and hated by veteran and rookie tattooers. The repetition could be torturous. But after decades of tattooing the designs became bread and butter. The founding tattooers didn’t go to art school and didn’t have business degrees. They were genuine outlaws. 28 Bay Area tattooers celebrate the tattoo flash art tradition.
