Event Details

Certain U.S. cities are better set-up to deal for life without a car. Hell, I haven’t owned a car in four years and I’m getting around just fine in the SF Bay Area. Learn how you can too…

Someone created a guide for fun things to do when you don’t have four wheels and a motor: Post-Car Press is an independent publisher in San Francisco and Oakland focused on publishing a national guidebook series for ‘post-car adventuring.’

Lucky Us: San Francisco is our first title, though guidebooks will soon follow for Seattle, New York and other cities.

‘Post-car adventuring’ is not just bike touring, but is a way of getting outside the city cheaply and easily via transit (trains, buses, ferries) sometimes with a bicycle but not necessarily. Learn how to roll from SF to tons of great spots in the Bay Area and northern California with ease and confidence. Come and get inspired to plan your first (or next!) post-car adventure.

The Event: Book Launch Party

Come to the launch party for Post-Car Adventuring the SF Bay Area at Gestalt Haus SF for beers, brats, and books. Authors Kelly Gregory and Justin Eichenlaub, also the co-creators of Post-Car Press, will be there to talk about their extensive post-car adventuring experience throughout California and in the Bay.
