Presidio Free Programs: Talks, Music & Performances | SF

San Francisco’s tradition of diverse cultural expression started at the Presidio, and continues today with events that enlighten, engage, and entertain, taking place at the Presidio Officers’ Club.

Enjoy topical discussions, live music, dance, and interactive family activities, all free to the public and sponsored by the Presidio Trust, in partnership with cultural institutions from across the Bay Area.

MUSA reimagines Baroque music with modern updates by young composers.

MUSA was founded in 2012 by eight young professional musicians with a shared passion for bringing the original sounds of centuries-old music to life. Insisting on the highest artistic integrity, they perform on period instruments to show that the popular music from the 16th to 18th centuries – the dance music and drinking songs, as well as magnificent court spectacles – transcends time and place to speak to us today.

MUSA has been presented at Early Music America’s Young Performers Festival, and has also collaborated with the Legion of Honor and the de Young Museum to pair music with various exhibits.
