SF’s Prince vs. Michael Jackson DJ Party (NoPa)

Pay tribute to both the King of Pop and the Purple One every first Saturday of the month at the Madrone Art Bar’s “The Prince and Michael Experience,” which celebrates their work with a healthy dose of competition as fans go head-to-head on the dance floor to the music of these two cultural icons.

The party starts at 9 pm with a $10 cover, and will feature dancing to DJ album cuts, remixes, rare tracks, and classics of the two artists’ greatest hits. So sharpen your splits and tighten up your toe stands for a night full of moonwalking at the Madrone, and make sure to “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.”

This monthly dance party at Madrone will turn into a tribute to two stars lost too soon. DJ Dave Paul plays album cuts, b-sides, un-released tracks, remixes and the hits from the two artists as well as songs by ancillary acts.

The music is far from the only thing happening at this party, there’s theme dancing, a face-off between guests repping The Purple One or The King of Pop, more.
