Event Details

Psilocybe species are abundant in the North America where they have been used by western culture recreationally and therapeutically since the 1960’s. In Mexico they have been used by traditional shamans for centuries. It may come as a surprise that many species of entheogenic mushrooms are abundant in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area. The soil, vegetation, climate, available nutrition, and zone provide ideal environments for the growth of several species of psilocybian fungi.

During this special event, mycologist Alan Rockefeller will introduce many of these species including Psilocybe cyanescens, Psilocybe “cyanofriscosa”, as well as other species abundant in the bay area and the rest of North America.

Alan will provide a basic introduction to mushroom knowledge including:

  • Key Features
  • Mushroom Identification
  • Safety Issues
  • Legalities
  • And More

Schedule:

  • 3:00-4:40 Presentation
  • 4:40-5:00 Audience Q & A

The presentation will be packed with lots of information that will be interesting and informative to Psilocybe fans.
