2013 Queer Women of Color Film Festival | SF
The ninth annual Queer Women of Color Film Festival premieres an unprecedented 55 short films in five screening programs on June 14-16, 2013 at the Brava Theater.
The Festival Focus “Bridge To Truth: Queer SWANA/AMEMSA Communities,” includes a Featured Screening that explores tradition and culture, feminist waves and the simmering revolutions among Southwest Asian, North African/Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, South Asian (SWANA/AMEMSA) communities, followed by a discussion with artists and activists.
All screenings at the 2013 Queer Women of Color Film Festival are free of charge, and there are no tickets needed.
Opening Night Screening: Tender Possibilities
Reception and doors open at 6:30 pm. Film at 7:30 pm.From the intoxicating first kiss to queer Pin@ys navigating their upbringing, from transmen of color dating to Navajo beauty pageants, soak up the juicy possibilities in these sassy date films.
