Event Details

Heart-breaking, hair-raising and life-affirming stories lie hidden behind the marathon meetings and diligent preparation required in the struggle for social change.

How do activists transform your lived experiences into page-turning, imaginative fiction? How do they journey beyond the sound bytes and rhetoric to portray characters and situations that have psychological and political depth? How can they tell radical stories that are compelling to a broad variety of readers?

A panel of three local authors will read and discuss how they express progressive political activism through literary fiction. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
