Trainspotting Day: Readings, Prizes & Drink Specials | Edinburgh Castle

Trainspotting 2 is in cinemas on March 17. Two decades on from the original film release, the original cast returns, directed by Danny Boyle.

In 1996, Edinburgh Castle Pub in San Francisco was the venue for the US Premiere of the stage play version of Trainspotting, based on the novel by Irvine Welsh.

The event features readings from Trainspotting, prize giveaways, live music from Walshey and Westy, a discussion on the impact of the novel and film on perceptions of drugs and society, and of course, Trainspotting drink specials.

The Castle is hosting a Trainspotting Day to coincide with the release of the new movie.
