Event Details

Beware of mysterious spacecraft signals and slithering stowaways at a free drive-in screening of Ridley Scott’s 70s sci-fi horror classic “Alien” on Saturday, July 30 in Novato.

This film, which set off a series of equally-freaky franchises and spin-offs, follows the crew of the spaceship Nostromo as they discover a derelict alien spacecraft, encountering hyper-aggressive alien parasites in the process and battling for their lives in the hope of a safe return to planet Earth.

There’s lots of space for chairs and blankets in front, but make sure to arrive early (and drive slowly) if you plan to park and watch from your car.  Also be mindful if you bring children, as “Alien” is rated R.

There will be a 20 minute intermission, where movie-goers can donate for snacks like popcorn, hot dogs and themed cupcakes, as well as a raffle, which includes a movie-themed prize pack.

So settle down under the stars and watch out for strange parasites to see this award-winning suspense flick and Sigourney Weaver in her breakout role as the star of this 70s sci-fi saga.
