ON HIATUS: “Return of the Cypher” Hip-Hop & Beatbox Jam | Boom Boom Room

Return of the Cypher (ROTC) is free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features an ever-changing lineup of artists and improvised sessions (know as “cyphers”) where beatboxers, emcees, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of soulful skill.

ON HIATUS: “Return of the Cypher” Hip-Hop & Beatbox Jam | Boom Boom Room

At every R.O.T.C., MC’s, beatboxers, B-Boys, and musicians from various backgrounds rock in live cyphers, with jams provided by a DJ, live band, and/or producers. All MC’s and vocalists are welcome to participate in the open-cyphers, as long as they read the rules and receive a wristband at the merch booth. R.O.T.C. also features a traditional dance party segment, comandeered by veteran DJ Kevvy Kev and assistance provided by DJ Netwerk.
