Return of the Cypher (ROTC) is free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features an ever-changing lineup of artists and improvised sessions (know as “cyphers”) where beatboxers, emcees, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of soulful skill.

Return of the Cypher features an international man of poetry, Ka Mau aka Pitch Black Gold, bringing back the roots of Hip-Hop with serious lyricism with a powerful message.

For the last ten years, Ka Mau has lived in Bali, Indonesia using the art of poetry, rap and dance to connect cultures, inspire creative thought and action and motivate youth to use their creativity as a means of personal and collective empowerment.

Plus special guest Sellassie, social justice activist, entrepreneur, and Bay Area Hip Hop pioneer, is gonna with drop a few jams.
