Return of the Cypher (ROTC) is free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features an ever-changing lineup of artists and improvised sessions (know as “cyphers”) where beatboxers, emcees, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of soulful skill.

On January 26, 2014, Return of the Cypher is holding its second ever “1 Track Wonder” competition. A select few artist will be chosen to compete based on Emcee/Songwriting ability. In the end, the crowd has the final word of who takes home the gold medal (not real gold but they’re working on it).
