Return of the Cypher (ROTC) is free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features an ever-changing lineup of artists and improvised sessions (know as “cyphers”) where beatboxers, emcees, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of soulful skill.

MVP Battle | ON HIATUS: “Return of the Cypher” Hip-Hop & Beatbox Jam | Boom Boom Room

This week, competitors will battle in the Return of the Cypher MVP competition. The winner will be chosen for March 2014 and be adorned with custom made ROTC dog tags. Sign up at the merch booth to participate.

Be an extra in MC Infinite‘s banger “Double Beat Down” music video shoot. The performance will be shot at 11 pm, so make sure you’re there to support Infinite, a legend in the bay of the Felonious crew.

Also, catch see a live performance from Davu & Bottom Hammer plus live renditions of classic Hip Hop beats for the Cypher.

DJ Kevvy Kev will get the party in high gear by mixing seamlessly with the live band.
