Return of the Cypher (ROTC) is free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features an ever-changing lineup of artists and improvised sessions (know as “cyphers”) where beatboxers, emcees, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of soulful skill.

July 27, 2014 lineup features Pure Powers, Vocab Slick and our city’s very own home grown hero Z-man.

Zamon, or better known by his stage name Z-Man (also goes by Z-Mainey, Z-Dazzle), is an underground rapper and painter from the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a frequent collaborator with artists in a collective called “Gurp City,” composed of Sacred Hoop, Grand Invincible, G-Pek, Conceit, TOPR, MC Oroville and Bay Area legend Eddie Def.  He has also worked with Hieroglyphics Crew, Disflex.6, and Refill Records. – Wikipedia
