>> Want to see our Top Picks for this week instead?
Stanford University CERAS Hall | 450 Serra Mall, Stanford, CA 94305
Rough readings are the first step in the development of a play. Rough readings allow the playwright to get a feel for their play onstage, and receive audience reactions and input. Join Playwrights Foundation in Garret Jon Groenveld’s rough reading of The Hummingbirds.
Join them afterwards for a question and answer session with the playwright, while enjoying free booze and cookies.
Welcome to a very special room of the unemployment bureau. Not been able to find a job? You will leave this room with a job today. It may not be a job you are capable of doing (it may not be safe for anyone to do), but you will leave with a job. Written for two actors of any age, race or gender, the play delves into themes of what work means and nostalgia for a better world that may never have been.
