Want to see a good old fashioned mini fireworks show in the street, the kind you used to have as a kid?
Farley’s Coffee hosts their annual “Safe and Sane” July Fourth Fireworks show in the street on July 4, 2016. Each year, it’s typically accompanied by patriotic John Philip Sousa music from speakers hung awkwardly out of Farley’s windows.
This event is planned for 2016, but the details could change (and the cops could shut it down). Please note, we’re not yet sure about the exact details.
If past years are any indication, expect to see a super informal DIY 15-20 minute old-school street fireworks show complete with sparkles, multi-layered cones, little mini rockets, flowers, whistlers, and more starting around 9 pm.
2016 Farley’s Safe and Sane July Fourth Celebration
Monday, July 4, 2016 | Sundown
18th Street (b/t Missouri & Texas), Potrero Hill
Keep it on the DL: We’re not entirely sure about whether this type of event is allowed in SF, so keep it on the down low, so everyone can enjoy the show. There’s no reason for the fuzz to get involved and take away all the fun. And keep in mind, this is a DIY sort of event, so the details may change or it may be canceled at the last minute.
