San Francisco Zoo Lights 2012 | December 22-30
Enjoy the San Francisco Zoo at night with a spectacular light show, full of holiday-themed fun for the entire family from December 22-30, 2012.
Come take a sparkling moonlight meander through the Zoo as it twinkles with cheer. View the lighting of the 30-foot Christmas tree, then follow the sparkling path lined with twinkling animal topiaries and glistening garlanded trees.
See the reindeer romp, party with the penguins and sing along to special seasonal entertainment throughout the Zoo and on the Main Stage every night at 6 pm. Take a free ride on the historic Carousel and explore the magic of Candy Land.

Rain or shinePlease note, because it’s dark, many animals will be asleep – but some animals will still be on exhibit during zoo lights: aye aye, penguins, otters, big cats in the Lion House, and reindeer.
The San Francisco zoo lights exhibition is free and open to the public on Sunday, December 23, 2012 starting at 4pm.
Although there may be a parking charge of $5, you can visit the zoo from 4-8pm while most of the animals are asleep to see their brand new “zoo lights” exhibit with live entertainment nightly at 6pm, along with free rides on the historic Carousel.
Please note that zoo lights is rain or shine and although is free on Saturday 12/22 and Sunday 12/23, costs $5 on December 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
