Event Details

Oakland Symphony invites all to “Sanctuary: A Conversation About Home.” Told through music and conversation, the evening is a dialogue about present day safe cities and immigrants in the United States. This free community event highlights the stories & songs of those who have left their home to pursue a new life in another country.

Hear about the immigrant experience from the artist’s perspective as Diana Gameros (Mexico), Omid Zoufonoun (Iran), and the Great Wall Youth Orchestra(China) take the stage. The night invites a conversation about Sanctuary cities and the varied immigrant experiences each artist has encountered.
