Event Details

Down to a Science is an ongoing Science Café, a casual forum where leading scientists discuss their research with the public. Aging poses a fascinating intellectual puzzle. Why does the cellular machinery that works so well early in our lives start to fail as we get older? Different organisms have wildly different lifespans, suggesting that it isn’t a simple matter of “wear and tear.” Chris Patil, Cellular Senescence Researcher/Postdoctoral Fellow, Buck Institute for Age Research will be in conversation on this topic with  science comedian, Brian Malow.

Topic: Do Not Go Gently: The Biology of Aging
