Event Details

You’re invited to attend a free community screening of the film Selma at the historic Oakland Grand Lake Theatre on Thursday, February 26, 2015, presented by Google.org, the Black Googlers Network, and the Kapor Center for Social Impact.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

Doors open at 6 pm.  Screening begins at 7 pm. Concessions will be complimentary. We suggest getting there early. The first 250 youth will receive free t-shirts commemorating the event.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with local racial justice leaders about the contemporary movement for equality in the information age. This will be a unique opportunity to bring together our youth, Googlers, and community leaders to watch the film and participate in an important debriefing.
