Nolan Storefront 290x217 SF Arts Commission Art In Storefronts Kickoff | Mission Dist.Lower 24th Street will explode with creative energy with the launch of the Art in Storefronts pilot program, which places original installations by San Francisco-based artists into three vacant storefronts, and the 24th Street Promenade, an ongoing project curated by Triple Base Gallery that places ten additional art projects in businesses located along the corridor.

The evening will feature an unveiling of the latest Art in Storefronts installations, a performance by Mixcoatl Anahuac Danza Azteca, live Jazz by the Association and an art walk. The public will have the opportunity to meet the artists who will be stationed at their installations giving impromptu art talks throughout the evening.

WHEN:
Friday, November 20, 2009 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Formal remarks by project partners will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by an unveiling of the window installations and art walk with the artists. Light refreshments will be served.

WHERE:
Reception and remarks at Triple Base, 3041 24th Street @ Treat.
Storefronts located along 24th Street between Mission and Potrero streets.
