She has written several books about San Francisco history, including Denial of Disaster and San Francisco Almanac. Recently, she co-authored (with Richard Hansen) 1906 San Francisco Earthquake; and the e-book, Earthquake, Fire & Epidemic: Personal Accounts of the 1906 Disaster with Richard Hansen and Dr. William Blaisdell.
