San Francisco Mixtape Society | Mission Dist.
The San Francisco Mixtape Society is a monthly event dedicated to the friendly art of making and exchanging music mixes.
It’s like Secret Santa with music mixes, free giveaways, prizes and a little friendly competition.
Assemble and bring a mixtape based on the theme, and leave with a themed mixtape assembled by someone else.
The mixes are traded over the course of the evening through a spirited raffle.
Prizes from the generous sponsors will go to the best mixtape creators. Prize categories include Audience Choice, selected by popular vote, and Best Packaging, selected by judges. Additionally, a Best Mixtape prize winner will be selected by judges from mixtapes submitted in advance to the San Francisco Mixtape Society website.
Mixtape not required for admission, but you have to bring one to take one home.
The San Francisco Mixtape Society is hosting their next mixtape trading party themed “Camp” at The Makeout Room on Sunday, August 18, 2013.
Attendees who bring a mixtape on cassette will get a free drink.
