SF Zoo 300x222 SF Zoo Free Admission Day: First WednesdaysThe San Francisco Zoo, Northern California’s largest zoological park and conservation center, offers free admission the first Wednesday every month. This urban oasis, nestled against the Pacific Ocean, provides a comfortable climate all year round. We know you’ll enjoy seeing the 250 different animal species in naturalistic surroundings, and our many Zoo activities and events.

Free admission to San Francisco residents with valid ID on the first Wednesday of every month.

The Zoo reserves the right to limit attendance on Free Days in the best interest of the animals. We recommend that you take public transportation because parking is limited.

The San Francisco Zoo is located on the Great Highway, between Skyline and Sloat Boulevards, next to the Pacific Ocean.

Free street parking is available for along Sloat Blvd. A pedestrian drop-off area is located on Sloat Blvd. and 47th Avenue with a grand walkway leading directly to the main entrance.
