Local music fans are gearing up for warm weather and smooth sounds with the arrival of SFJazz Summerfest in Union Square.

Jazz Mafia All-Stars - August 16

The Jazz Mafia is a collective of jazz virtuosos, MCs, singers, arrangers, and composers that include many of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most prolific musicians. They mix post-modern orchestration, blistering solos, spoken-word, Latin poly-rhythms, boom-bap rhymes, and emotive ballads, all spun together with the spirit of improvisational jazz.

The annual concert series is hosted by Union Square and produced by SFJAZZ, a leading non-profit jazz organization on the West Coast .
