National icon Betty Reid Soskin, 96, has been a war-years worker, a singer-songwriter, a performer, a legislative aide, a National Parks ranger and a tireless fighter against discrimination of all forms. Now she has a new career, writer.

Her new book, Sign My Name to Freedom, invites readers into an American life through the words and thoughts of a national treasure who has never stopped looking at herself with fresh eyes.

Celebrate the accomplished life of this Bay Area hero with a conversation, reading and book signing of her new memoir. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
