Event Details

Following in step with last year’s ceremony, Sol de Amor is back from Ecuador by popular demand.

Sol de Amor is a celebration and community conversation with Carmen Vicente and will be followed by a South American “Blossoming” Ceremony, which features a choir of ceremonial singers guided by recognized Chilean folksinger Natalia Contesse.

Carmen Vicente is a Medicine Woman from the border of Ecuador and Peru, who for nearly 50 years, has advocated for the autonomy of traditional practices and teachings. She has worked principally with traditional peoples in the Amazon, and homeless and incarcerated communities in Quito. Please bring one red carnation to participate in the ceremony.
