Friday Night Sound Sculpture & Candlelight Tunnel Ritual | Golden Gate Park

Join “B Together and Listen Deeply” at Golden Gate Park in the tunnel across from the Conservatory of flowers for this interactive sound sculpture and weekly tunnel ritual.

A partnership between visionary conceptual artist Ben Davis, physical interaction designer and sound artist Dan Gottwald, plus many more, this installation is home to lush yet minimalist soundscapes and community music making opportunities.

“B” transforms a mundane place into a sacred space.

Each week through the summer in 2017 & the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love they’ve invited local musical acts to help activate this beautiful sonic space.

B Together and Listen Deeply
Fridays through October 20, 2017 | 6pm – 8:30pm
Conservatory Valley, across from Conservatory of Flowers
FREE

Come and you will be given a candle by volunteers. Reflect on a singular love in your life–an old flame, new flame, or eternal flame. You are also invited to ring one of three custom-made chimes by Dan Gottwald that sound in the note of B. Find the reverberation in your body and hum or chant together.

And in the distance, you can check out the gorgeous light sculpture illuminating the Conservatory of Flowers.

This is your final chance to experience “B.” You’re invited to Golden Gate Park in the tunnel across from the Conservatory of flowers for the final evening of this interactive sound sculpture with creators and composers of Harmonic Series Gamelan and Pet The Tiger.

Join these masters of invention for a wild ride throughout the harmonic (and subharmonic) series presenting a sampler of sonic vignettes, songs, and melodies featuring the various unusual instruments.
