Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the African American Center presents Southside With You (2016) as part of its Black History Month celebration.

Chicago lawyers Michelle Robinson (Tika Sumpter) and Barack Obama (Parker Sawyers) spend their fateful first date visiting the art museum, eating lunch together, watching Do The Right Thing, getting ice cream, and sharing a first kiss. Directed by Richard Tanne, Southside With You premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
