NASA is giving Space Shuttle Endeavor a “victory lap” of sorts as the space shuttle era ends with a low-flying flyover in the Bay Area on Friday morning September 21, 2012 on its way to being displayed at a museum in Los Angeles.

>> Keep your eyes on the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco’s waterfront over the Bay from about 9:30a to 10:30a.

Starting around 9:30am (weather depending) you should be able to get a great look at NASA’s modified 747 flying with Endeavor on its back on a path from Sacramento to Fremont, up the East Bay over Oakland, over to Sausalito and the Golden Gate Bridge then across the Marina Green to Fisherman’s Wharf, down the Embarcadero and along the Peninsula around 10a-10:30a.
