Spilt Milk DJ Night | Lower Haight
Spilt Milk is a monthy DJ showcase of some of the Bay Area’s house music talent, plus special out of town guests, taking place on the last Saturday of the month.
Most events are free with an RSVP on Facebook, or $5 at the door. Check each event for details.
Come shake it every month at Milk Bar in the Lower Haight.
Yr Skull (one half of Silver Hands / all-around production wizard) and Spilt Milk resident Shaky Premise make like Voltron and form DJ duo Wack Raps. These dudes started throwing down together back in 2009 in the city of Los Angeles after discovering a mutual fondness for four-on-the-floor. Expect anything from disco to techno, but mainly expect a dance floor party.
Free with an RSVP. $5 at the door.
Kimmy Le Funk will be gracing Spilt Milk with her vinyl-spinning, House-bumping mastery.
Getting the party started right is SF up-and-comer Boyfren, formerly of electro-dance group Afghan Raiders. Lately he’s been making a name for himself as a synth-driven dance music badman – most recently dropping one hell of a remix of SF locals Seatraffic’s “Crimes.”
As always, enjoy the mind-bending visual stylings of Etcher & Engraver. They’ll be providing the party for your eyeballs to match the party hitting your eardrums.
