The Alameda South Shore Center hosts their 2012 Summer Beats Concert series beginning with bluesman John Lee Hooker Jr. (not to be confused with his still dearly departed dad) performing a special Fourth of July free concert at Center Court 5-7:00 pm.

Beginning Saturday, July 7, 2012, free performances will take place 5-7:00 pm every other Saturday through Labor Day.

With free children’s activities including a bounce house and arts and crafts area sponsored by Alameda Recreation and Parks Department (ARPD) along with a face painter and henna tattoo artist.

Zydeco Flames – Summer Beats Concert Series

An evening filled with amazing Zydeco & Cajun music. We will also have free children’s activities including glitter tattoos
