Event Details

Celebrate 25 Years of Chronicle Books Children’s Publishing at their Summer Readers’ end-of-summer party from 11 am to 2 pm on August 18, 2013 on the Fulton Street steps of the Main Library.

If you’ve completed your summer reading hours, bring your Golden Ticket and as a Summer Read SF 2013 finisher, you will be entered into a $500 shopping spree from Chronicle Books.

The library event website states that there may be a roller rink, but we haven’t confirmed that. Bring along your skates if you like. Start an impromptu skate party or use them to skate around Sunday Streets Tenderloin – There won’t be any cars to fear.

Featured author readings include:

Bob Barner, an illustrator and creator extraordinaire. He is most well known for his collage style artwork.  Some of his book include: Dem BonesDinosaur Bones,  Dinosaurs Roar, Butterflies SoarBugs Bugs Bugs and Animal Baths

Annie Barrows, author of the The New York Times Bestselling Ivy & Bean Series

Katie Williams, an up and coming Young Adult author.  She has written two books Absent and Space Between Trees

Wednesday Kirwan, the illustrator of Yeti, Turn out the Lights
