On Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 7:30 PM, at Room 18 of the Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Avenue, Los Altos, the De Anza Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will feature a program by Jason Martinez on the San Francisco Botanical Garden Rhododendron Collection. Besides being in charge of the Rhododendron Garden at the San Francisco Botanical Garden, Jason Martinez is also in charge of the Ancient Plant Garden, the Garden of Fragrance, and the Mediterranean Garden.

During the program Jason Martinez will inform us about current conditions and new additions to the garden; as well as trips he took to the Rhododendron Species Foundation, and to the 2017 Convention of the American Rhododendron Society that was held in Eureka, California. During the convention Jason Martinez was on a tour which explored Stagecoach Hill where many Rhododendron occidentale discoveries by Britt Smith and Frank Mossman are located.
