On Thursday, January 4 please join their discussion of Alessandro Manzoni’s famous historical novel, The Betrothed. Set in 17th-century Lombardy, Manzoni’s novel recounts the adventures and travails of two young lovers, Renzo and Lucia, who brave countless dangers to be with each other. A paean to the power of love and faith, The Betrothed is a classic of Italian and world literature.
