Lace up your sneakers and get ready to join A Runner’s Mind for a challenge truly unique to SF, The Great Cable Car Chase.
The Great Cable Car Chase
The Last Tuesday of Every Month | 7pm
A Runner’s Mind, 3575 Sacramento Street
FREE but RSVP RequiredIncludes snacks to fuel your run, and refreshments and music for a mini after-party.
The last Tuesday of every month they will hit the streets of SF at 7 pm for a race against one of the famous San Francisco Cable Cars. Their favorite adversary is the Powell-Hyde line or, if they are feeling adventurous, the California line.
They start each “race” with a 2.5 mile-ish warm up from the store to their hill of choice. The race lasts at least one block, more for those who can hang on, everyone leaves victorious and those who beat the Cable Car receive a special prize courtesy of ARM.
Fuel up for the challenge with Perfect Bar, who will be providing mini bars for all of the runners up to the chase. A cool down run back to the store is followed by refreshments, music and more.
