The News: Fresh Queer Performance Series | SoMa

On the first Tuesday of each month The News, presented by SOMArts Cultural Center, features new, queer work by Bay Area artists.

The News is a monthly cabaret evening that spotlights 10-minute or less performance pieces, experiments, and works in progress by pre-selected solo artists, groups, or troupes.

Admission is free, but SOMArts hopes that if you can afford to donate, you will support the artists onstage when the hat passes.
RSVP on Eventbrite to guarantee a seat.

On Tuesday, October 6th, The News is curated by Kolmel W Love and features Dazié Rustin Grego, Frida Precariat, Tre Natro, Leloo Levay, and Horehound Stillpoint.

They will be brining The News in its raw, energetic, hard rocking, sissy strutting glory. October’s The News brings together an eclectic and very talented group of artists whose work truly spans the queer map: death metal/folk fusion, political dances, sissy poetry, performance character driven music and a new humorous breed of the triple threat.

What happens when you take five artists who would normally never share a stage, and cram them into one spectacular show? Find out.
