The Bike Kitchen’s tasty “Tour de Cupcake” fundraiser is back after a three-year hiatus on Sunday, October 9 for a delicious day of cruising around the city for cupcakes.
A choose-your-own adventure style race where riders receive time deductions for eating cupcakes along the way, this scavenger-style alleycat race is free for spectators and $15 for racers.
The race is free to watch, but if you want to participate in the race, registration is capped at 300 participants though, so buy your $15 tickets soon to enjoy a minimum of five free gourmet cupcakes during the race, a Tour de Cupcake spokecard and entry to an exclusive after party with free beer, treats, prizes and dancing. Race registration is sold out.
Note for Spectators: The Bike Kitchen are very vague about whether this event will be fun for spectators. Back in 2008 (the last time they ran this race) it was in Laskie Alley, right by The Bike Kitchen and you could watch the entire spectacle. We expect the same for 2011, don’t know for sure. We recommend you call The Bike Kitchen 415-647-2453 for further details, but they may not answer since it’s Sunday so you may just have to come on faith.
