2023 World’s Largest Origami Tree “Tree of Hope” (Grace Cathedral)

Grace Cathedral is partnering with Rainbow World Fund again this year to decorate the most unique holiday tree in the world (see below for how you can help!).

The tree will be at Grace Cathedral through January 5, 2024. Join us for the Tree Lighting Celebration on Monday, December 4, 2023.

The World Tree of Hope is the largest origami holiday tree in the world, decorated with over 17,000 origami cranes and stars, each hand-folded and inscribed with wishes, hopes, and dreams for the future of the world.

The wishes come from people of all ages, all faiths, and all walks of life. Since 2006, Rainbow World Fund has presented the World Tree of Hope as a symbol of global unity. Rainbow World Fund’s mission is to promote peace, unity, and hope by leading the LGBTQ movement in participating in humanitarian relief efforts. RWF’s aid work creates visibility, builds bridges, and demonstrates LGBTQ compassion and concern for the world.
