Event Details

Join them for the final Shakespeare400 program of 2016, celebrating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, as the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival’s Shakespeare on Tour troupe presents a 55-minute version of the Bard’s classic comedy Twelfth Night.

This family-friendly show follows the journeys of castaway twins who are separated in an unfamiliar land full of pranks, antics, love triangles, and dangerous duels. One of Shakespeare’s greatest heroines, Viola, makes profound discoveries about the nature of love, loss and identity – but not before a series of hijinks and pranks have taken place. There are even a couple of walk-on roles where audience volunteers get into the act. At the end of the hour-long performance the cast will take questions from the audience.
